Stephanie & Marc’s Sun-filled Ojibway Prairie Grass Engagement Session

August 22, 2021

The sky is cloudless and bright blue. There are no clouds as far as the eye can see. And in true Windsor Ontario fashion, there is a blanket of humidity and stillness amongst the trees. If you stand perfectly still, you can hear the wind blow through the tops of the trees, carrying the hum of cicadas, and you can see clouds of insects between shafts of sunlight.

It was here that I met Stephanie and Marc for the first time. We walked into the Ojibway Prairie Provincial Nature Reserve for their engagement photos, and if you’ve ever been outside in late July here, you know the sweat starts on your brow as soon as you step outside. Stephanie and Marc were total troopers, making the whole session seem effortless and and unbothered, even while fighting mosquitoes and the summer heat.

If they had never taken photos before, you’d never have known it! These two had chemistry off the charts, and were even visited by the most beautiful of onlookers! When the sun got low in the sky, they laid in the grass and watched the evening fade away together, their magic and love rising from the grass with the fireflies.
